I’ve established my career as a designer, illustrator, and entrepreneur. I’ve designed everything from branding, sportswear apparel, footwear, graphics, prints, and accessories. I gained much of my early design and product development experience with small and large brands, including Kohls, Fila Sport, and Prokeds Footwear in New York. I was also lucky enough to work in the early days of streetwear with brands like Ecko, Triple 5 Soul, and Zoo York.
Over the past few years, I have been expanding my workflow by incorporating new design tools that integrate AI and 3D. This work has led me to rethink not only the way I design but also how teams can be more thoughtful and exploratory in their design processes.
The work I’m most proud of is the brand, Kali Active, that I grew from the ground up. It was my first “rodeo” as an entrepreneur in the sportswear industry. My brand made a huge impact for women in a mostly male-dominated space while carving out its own niche. Being a founder allowed me to wear many hats and understand the full scope of what it takes to make and grow a brand.
Kali Active was the first brand to bridge the gap between the fight and fitness industries by leveraging high-quality materials, unique design, and a direct-to-consumer strategy to capture the modern fitness demographic. I grew the brand into a profitable business by collaborating with many influencers and fitness creators and by partnering with popular organizations. This also led me to consult for many gyms and studios around the world. The brand was deeply entrenched in the LA and NY fitness landscape and grew globally. Even though the pandemic led me to close my business, the knowledge and experience that I gained through the journey helped shape me into a stronger designer and person.
